Excel PP5-8
Western Excelsior’s Excel PP5-8 Turf Reinforcement Mat (TRM) consists of a matrix of ultraviolet stabilized, synthetic fibers stitched between two ultraviolet stabilized, heavy-duty synthetic nets. With a target weight of eight ounces per square yard, Excel PP5-8 provides sufficient thickness and durability to yield functional longevity greater than three years. The Excel PP5-8 is intended to provide immediate erosion control and long term turf reinforcement for the more severe slope and channelized applications.
The Excel PP5-8 TRM provides erosion control and turf reinforcement for a minimum of thirty-six months, and likely much longer. Available in a variety of roll sizes, Excel PP5-8 provides reliable, economical erosion control and turf reinforcement for projects that benefit from a permanent material, however, may not require ultimately high performance. Like all Western Excelsior products, Excel PP5-8 is made in the USA and may yield LEED credits for the end user.

Excelsior Blankets R-1
Western Excelsior’s Excel R-1 Erosion Control Blanket (ECB) consists of a 100% Rocky Mountain Excelsior matrix stitched to a single net (top). Excel R-1 is available with photodegradable, synthetic netting (Regular); rapid photodegradable, synthetic netting (Rapid-Go) or all natural, biodegradable netting (All Natural). Excel R-1 ECBs are also available in natural or dyed green colors. The Excel R-1 ECB provides erosion control for a period of up to fifteen months (45 – 90 days as Rapid Go style) and serves as a mulching layer. Actual longevity depends on soil and climatic conditions. Available in a variety of roll sizes, Excel R-1 provides reliable, economical erosion control, ideal for slope projects that would benefit from greater erosion protection and improved mulching. Like all Western Excelsior products, Excel R-1 is made in the USA and yields LEED credits for the end user. R-1 is carried at both locations and come in the following sizes: 4’x180’ and 8’x90’. Rapid-Go and All Natural also available with minimal lead time.

Fielder’s Choice Seed Mix
Fielder’s Choice is our most popular mix consisting of an 80% blend of 3 varieties of Tall Fescue and 20% Perennial Rye. Fielder’s Choice is a narrow bladed grass that germinates in 7-14 days with great turf color that is disease and drought resistant. This Blend is great for home lawns as well as athletic fields. Application rates for new seeding is 6-8 lbs per 1000 square feet and 2-4 lbs per 1000 square feet for over seeding existing lawns. Stocked in Fairfield.
Filtrexx Siltsoxx (Pre-filled silt sock)
SiltSoxx™ is a three dimensional tubular mesh device, filled with Filtrexx Media, that helps stop sediment. It is a superior alternative to silt fence and straw wattles. It is used in check dams, perimeter control, inlet protection, filter rings and more. Siltsoxx is palletized for easy handling and installation installation. Available in 8”x160’,12”x160’ and12”x10’ lengths.
FiNN E-Tack
FiNN E-Tack is a specially formulated polymer that electronically binds soil and mulch particles together for all HydroSeeding mulch applications. FiNN E-Tack can also be used to prevent dust in non-traffic areas and will aid in water penetration in soils low in organic matter. As a fiber mulch tack application rate is 6 lbs. per acre. FiNN FiberPlus
FiNN FiberPlus is a specifically coated synthetic fiber to improve the tenacity and bonding of all fiber mulches, longer fiber length provides mechanical adhesion to the soil surface. FiberPlus provides better germination conditions for the seed and also prevents mulch from washing away. FiberPlus will improve the results of every seeding job, and it is especially effectible when seeding on slopes, or shielding seed from heavy rains. Packaged in 5 Lbs. 10 per Case. FiNN HLL
FiNN HLL is used by land reclamation specialists, highway and commercial landscaping contractors, turf management professionals and homeowners to adjust soil pH levels. When compared with traditional agricultural and pelletized limestone, FiNN HLL has a greater strength and is more effective in creating the soil conditions required for successful seed germination. Packaged in 2.5 Gal. jugs, 2 per case. Application rate to modify pH moderately 2.5 Gal. per acre and 5 Gal. per acre to adjust severely. See spec sheets for additional information.
FiNN HPN
FiNN HPN is a super soluble, high phosphorous starter fertilizer aimed at supplying all the nutrients and micro-nutrients necessary for the first 4-6 weeks of new seedling life. FiNN HPN is designed for an immediate availability of nutrients to a new plant in the most usable form possible. FiNN HPN is a 10-44-6 and is 100% readily available at time of application. FiNN Hydrogel B
FiNN HydroGel B is a polymer that is able to store water and nutrients up to 500% its own size and weight. Once Hydrogel B releases its store moisture and nutrients to the root system, it will replenish itself with the next rainfall or irrigation. FiNN HydroGel B is a plant watering aid used to reduce or eliminate stress caused by a lack of moisture. Packaged in 5 lbs. bags, 8 per case.
